Wardrobes are the perfect substitute for clothes storage systems when closet space is not available or additional storage systems are required. We recently featured the Urano bed from Falegnameria 1946 and here is their Memory walk in closet system in Cherry wood that features ample shelving, clothes hangers with stick, storage drawers on rollers, bronze mirrors, and back panels in ostrich skin fabric. See the entire collection of wardrobes and walk in closets from Falegnameria 1946 including more from the Memory series as well as the Atelier and New Age collections

I made a statement to myself last weekend that I would organize my closet. Like so many weekends I was too busy, and did not get to the task. If you are like me, this probably happens a lot. Nonetheless, I believe that my core issue is having a poor closet design. So this morning, I embarked on searching around for pictures and ideas for "what could be". The only down side is that closet remodeling can be very costly. On the other hand, a killer closet is a great selling point when you put a house on the market. These pictures are four of the latest walk-in styles from California Closets. For me the hardest element is not picking out a wood color or style, but deciding on what features I need to best organize my clothes. I have thought about taking inventory of my wardrobe and then measuring the space it would take for my preferred method of organizing: whether it is hanging up or folded storage. I think this is the most practical idea I have come up with. Another consideration is thinking about how much shoe storage I will need. Then the over-arching question is what you will need immediate access to. For seasonal wardrobes, your closet organization needs will change.

One look at the Bang & Olufsen BeoLab 5 speaker and you would probably love them on aesthetics alone, but wait there is much more. Said to have an "unusually realistic depth, solidity, and very clean and smooth-sounding bass" this is a welcome addition to any sound room or home theater system for someone who can appreciate great sound you can feel. Bang & Olufsen's started with a circular design that allows a wider sound radiation pattern and better stereo imaging regardless of your position in the room unlike the typical box speakers. The BeoLab 5 features a 3/4-inch tweeter, a 3-inch midrange driver, a 6 1/2-inch mid-bass driver, and a large 15-inch woofer with a separate digital Class D power amp for each driver. B&O rates them at 250 watts for each of the higher-frequency drivers and a whopping 1,000 watts apiece for the mid-bass and woofer enabling loud clean play. Visit you local B&O dealer for a personal audition you wont soon forget.

Choosing the right television for your living room of home theater has raised a real "fork in the road" question for several years now, Plasma or LCD. As the original flat panel days evolved Plasma was the emerging future of the newest technology and was looking like the long term option for production around the world. As LCD's emerged they seemed to offer a solution to the often higher priced Plasma's which were developing a reputation for having problems with "burn in" and a "short life span" of 6 to 10,000 hours. Even though these issues have been addressed where even the most used Plasma television would last 45 years if on every day for 6 hours, LCD is winning out as major manufacturers are abandoning Plasma production including Vizio and Pioneer with more to follow.

Flexible Rotating TV Stand and Wall Unit by MDF Italia

Some times the TV positioning is not optimal based on the viewing angles in a living room. This is the case in my living room. I have a built in wall unit on the right hand side of the living making "my recliner" the best seat in the house. There are other options, however. This wall unit from MDF Italia features a flexible rotating arm for the TV. In the picture you can see how the TV stand can be turned to create a proper angle to watch television. The TV can then be turned back in, flush with the wall unit, to make for a tidy appearance. This is great design by MDF Italia. Via.

Hi Fi TV Stands by Alivar

These Hi Fi TV stands come from Alivar of Italy and feature a design that can accommodate a free standing television in the middle of the room. Where most TV stands need to be up against a wall Alivar's are designed to go anywhere. The TV units are constructed of wood with an oak veneer. The base is made of aluminum that comes with adjustable feet. From the pictures you can see the choice of colors ranging from black to red to white. The sides offer DVD storage and there is also a shelf for video or other storage needs.

Here is a wonderful Thermador appliances picture where the home owner has used space wisely in the kitchen. This wall is not all that long and yet, the home owner has fit in three great appliances: refrigerator, double-oven, and wine refrigerator. Notice that the wine refrigerator is one of the skinnier models offered by Thermador. This design could have been changed by canceling the wine area and installing a wider refrigerator. Space in the refrigerator is hard to come by so this design makes sense as well. I would probably opt for a lighter color wood than what is pictured here, but that is my preference. It does seem to match the tile well.

Small Wine Cellar Designed for Kitchen Countertops
At 10.5 inches wide, this small wine cellar by Cuisinart is great for kitchen countertops. If you are like me, countertop space is hard to come by so when it comes to adding a new appliance I have to really think. There might be good reasons to not have one on the ground such as a lack of space or a pet that takes a fondness to wine. This small appliance holds 8 bottles of wine that is controlled by a "hands touch" thermostat. According to my math there are 7 days in the week and 8 bottles of wine. So if you enjoy a glass or two each night, you should have a week's supply. Price: $159 (sale); $299 normal retail

Electric Indoor BBQ Grill for People without Patios
If you love to barbecue and don't have a patio area, an indoor BBQ grill can come to the rescue. For me, I really enjoy eating barbecue and also the fun in grilling things myself. It is not uncommon for apartments to have "no grill" rules for the fire safety of all of their inhabitants. This indoor BBQ grill runs on 1500 watts of electricity and is made by Breville. The top plate can be adjusted to any position to help control heat based on the type of fare being cooked. The top plate is ribbed which allows you to sear meat should you wish to. It comes with a drip pan that is dishwasher safe. The heat can be set between 350-450 degrees. An electric grill has an advantage here since it is easier to maintain proper heat. All is not lost if you cannot grill outside. A handy indoor BBQ grill can come to the rescue. Price: $249

Celsius Modular Refrigerator Offers User Friendly Features
Kitchen appliances are getting smarter because designers are identifying with the user experience and working to overcome adversity and make even the most ordinary products even better than they are. Student designer Angeline Meloche from the University of New South Wales answers the food freshness and placement issue with the Celsius modular refrigerator which is configured by the "user". The Celsius features a touch-sensitive control panel on the door of each cabinet which includes five temperature presets giving users the ability to store food correctly, maintaining freshness and storage lifetime. Full-extension drawers and pantry-style cabinets allow for optimal space usage with the same footprint as a conventional refrigerator. Other features include custom inserts providing for fruit, vegetables, meat & fish, dairy, bottles, and wine storage, and an LCD screen, which not only helps the user to monitor and locate food items, but also fosters an awareness of correct storage conditions.

24 Inch Wide Wine Cooler by Miele
The KWT1611 Vi wine cooler from Miele is narrow with a width of 24 inches. Despite its narrow size it can hold up to 84 bottles of wine storage. The wine is held on nice wooden racks which are great in preserving bottles while also adding to the nostalgia of wine collecting. The wine racks fully extend out giving you ample room to load, review, and remove wine bottles. The cooling system includes three separate temperature zones providing more control over temperature setting. Thus, if you want your white wine or champagne colder, it can be accommodated in their system.

Nathan Mills calls his folded one piece dining table the Schlicht Table, I call it the "slick table". This bent wood concept takes the usual parts and combines the dining table and chairs into one well thought piece that would really work well in a modern interior décor, especially the vibrant colored ones. As you may expect Nathan Mills has an extensive resume of visual skills including 3D Modeling & CAD Real World Rendering. I am not sure when the Schlicht Table can be purchased, can any Furniture Fashion readers help me out!

In the 135 year history of Simmons mattresses I would say that have perfected their product and covered all the areas that normally break down and wear out. Their claim to fame is the "individually pocketed coil system" found in the Beauty Rest line that makes their mattresses good for couples that don't want to disturb their partner, and any one who wants a truly conforming sleep surface.

Durapella Earth Armless Chair from Ashley Furniture

Ashley Furniture has such a large collection to browse. Of all the occasional chairs, the Earth Armless has to be my favorite. I think this piece is wonderful in how its use of colors create a fun design sure to draw the attention of your guests. The upholstery pattern has style and flair that is not usually found on larger pieces from the collection such as sofas and sectionals. I also like this piece in a bedroom as an extra chair for reading or watching TV. Available: here.

Ashley Furniture Reclining Sofas: Durapebble in Khaki

I am a big fan of Durapebble Khaki Reclining Sofas like you see in the picture. Ashley Furniture is usually known for its traditional furniture style. This design inspiration for this piece draws upon the roots of Italian sofa manufacturers such as Natuzzi. Modern Italian design has a way of making a piece appear "softer" and a bit smaller which allows for it to not become the dominant piece in a living room. Another great element of the Durapebble is that it gives you options about accent pieces. Since it is more transitional, you have the chance to mix and match modern and traditional pieces along with this sofa. Available: here.

Alladio Crimson Sofas from Ashley Furniture

You have to admit that red makes a statement in any living room. This is precisely what the Alladio Crimson sofas from Ashley Furniture are designed to do. Crimson is a softer shade of red so as to not make "too bold" a statement for a more traditional home. I like how the throw pillows bring out some other colors in the picture and show other color possibilities. Let's face it. Red is fun, so this may be the right piece to showcase in your living room.
